2.6 challenge

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
Charities desperately need funds to continue their vital work during the COVID-19 outbreak. UEA Student Action for Refugees will be taking part in the 2.6 challenge by completing a relay over the course of 8 days to get to 26 miles!
We are raising money for New routes integration, a charity based in Norwich who support refugees and asylum seekers. Refugees and people seeking asylum are amongst the most vulnerable in society and that has only been exacerbated during this pandemic. Difficulties in accessing healthcare, being more likely to have pre-existing health conditions and experiencing homelessness or very poor quality housing are just a few of the things that may make them more vulnerable. There are thousands of people in the UK who have been separated from their support networks by war and persecution and now will be lacking the support networks they have formed since being in the UK. New routes are one of those support networks who are continuing to provide online and phone support, deliver online ESOL classes, providing emergency food/financial support and giving out much needed information.
Your money will go towards a fantastic organisation that promotes cross-cultural integration and community awareness. Thank you for your support!
