Befrienders Highland offers 1-1 befriending to people experiencing mental ill health, memory loss or who are a carer. Friendships are between the befriendee and a trained volunteer, either: face-to-face, by telephone or e-mail/letter. The aim of the friendship is to reduce loneliness & isolation.

Story

In aid of a great charity, Senior Managers of UHI and HISA are baring their legs in a charity leg wax! Iain Morrison and Gary Campbell from UHI and Callum Stephen and Graeme Kirkpatrick from HISA have all signed up. 

For enduring this waxing, and for being such good sports, please donate generously. Tissues will be provide on the day for the tears of laugher.

This will take place at the HISA Sports Day on Friday the 20th of April at 14.45, Bught Park, Inverness

Befriender Highland is a small voluntary organisation working across the Highland and Argyll and Bute regions to improve the lives of
people who are lonely and isolated and have experience of mental ill health, memory difficulties or dementia.
