Welcome to the Zurich UK Actuarial Reserving team's fundraising page! 

On the 16th July 2010, our team will come together from our different locations and all complete the Yorkshire Dales 3 Peaks Challenge in an effort to raise money for the Zurich Community Trust UK Charity, which helps disadvantaged people to achieve an independent future.  They are willing to match 50% of all donations made to help your money go even further!

This is not an easy task - and is certainly worthy of your donations to make the challenge worthwhile. 

The route takes us over 3 of the tallest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales - Penyghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) - covering a distance of around 25 miles which we hope to complete in 12 hours.  That is a long way, and will feel even longer as this includes an awful lot of up and downs along the route.

The Zurich Community Trust UK, under the name Zurich Cares, has 6 national charity partners, Marie Curie Cancer Care, NSPCC (ChildLine), Canine Partners, Calvert Trust, Hope and Homes for Children and the Foundation for Conductive Education.

These 6 national partners for 2010 cover a wide spectrum of beneficiaries including young toddlers with cerebral palsy (Foundation for Conductive Education), orphaned children in developing countries who need a loving family (Hope and Homes for Children), youngsters being abused (ChildLine), teenagers with physical and mental disabilities who need the stimulation of outside activities (Calvert Trust), disabled adults needing the support of an assistance dog (Canine Partners) and people dying from cancer at home (Marie Curie Cancer Care).
