Hi, my name is Matthew and I've signed up to take on the Budapest Marathon 2026 Student starting on Saturday 10th of October 2026.

I have always being active (I'm a regular hiker!), but doing a marathon has always been a bucket list idea of mine, yet has always seemed so daunting. Now, alongside fellow students from Loughborough University, I've been given the opportunity to push myself and all whilst raising money to support HFT, an amazing charity dedicated to transforming the lives of learning disabled adults. The important work they do, helps to enable learning disabled people to explore opportunities, realise their potential and thrive.

My goal is to raise £1290, and any donation you can make would be hugely appreciated, and help give me the motivation to conquer this challenge. Ultimately this is about so much more than a marathon, but changing lives of learning disabled people for the better.
