Story
Hi, my name is Tallulah and in August 2026 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in support of Amnesty International UK - the world’s leading human rights organisation.
My goal is to raise £4970, a figure with real potential to fuel this charity’s brilliant work.
Amnesty International UK works tirelessly and globally to defend the rights of both individuals and groups where they have been denied or compromised. Alongside their work to protect the right to peaceful protest - particularly pertinent in our country’s present political climate - their multilevel response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has been indispensable in the ongoing fight for international justice. What further resonates with me is their campaign against gendered inequality across the world, from their advocation for the establishment of commissioned abortion services in Northern Ireland - still incomplete 3 years after the country’s decriminalisation of abortion - to their hands-on fight against FGM and forced marriage across several West African countries by both preventative and educational measures, teaching young women and their communities about their own rights and about the dangers of these practices.
This should show that the challenge I’m undertaking is about far more than just the (hopefully!) eventual summit of Africa’s highest peak - it’s a chance to make a real difference. Every donation, big or small, will help me reach my target and support Amnesty International UK's vital work.
Thank you so much for your support,
Tallulah
