Hi, my name is Ben. I have decided to challenge myself to raise £3000 over the next 6 months in support of Teenage Cancer Trust, who help many young people and their families who are and/or have been affected by cancer.

I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as part of my final fundraising goal, from the 25th August 2026. This challenge is not only about pushing myself out my comfort zone but making a difference for those in need too!

Growing up I have had family and friends affected by cancer, and seen first hand the affect it can have on peoples lives. In the UK approximately 12 young people are diagnosed with cancer every day. It is a subject I hold very close to my heart, to think it can take away so much from young people around the UK, in such an important time of their lives!

Having a close friend battle leukaemia and beat it, has highlighted to me how important it is to support charities like Teenage Cancer Trust and how thankful we should be to the amazing people involved. To know we can make a difference for someone going through such a scary experience at such a young age, as they provide not only specialised treatment to fight cancer but great support surrounding all the ways cancer affects a young person, from their mental health to physical well being!
