My name is Freya, and on 25 August 2026 I’ll be travelling to Tanzania to take on one of the biggest challenges of my life: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Choose a Challenge. It’s something that feels both exciting and terrifying, but I’m doing it for a cause that truly deserves all the support it can get: Teenage Cancer Trust.

This charity focuses entirely on helping young people aged 13-24 who are diagnosed with cancer. They provide specialist nurses, youth workers, and dedicated spaces in hospitals that help young people feel seen, understood, and supported at a time when everything in their world changes. Even though I’m still getting to know more about the charity myself, I know the impact they have is real and so needed.

Every step I take up that mountain will be for the young people facing a much harder climb every single day. Your support, whether it’s sharing my page, donating, or simply reading this, genuinely means the world.
