Story
Hi, my name is Aimee, and I'm a third-year Law student at the University of Reading. In August 2026, I’ll be taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life, the UK Kilimanjaro 2026 Student Trek, starting on Tuesday 25th August.
I’ve chosen to take on this adventure not just to push myself far outside my comfort zone, but to make a meaningful difference by raising funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation. My goal is to raise £3,380, and every pound will help support groundbreaking research, life-saving awareness, and vital support for families affected by meningitis.
This cause is particularly important to me because, as a law student, I’ve spent a lot of time learning about how vulnerable communities are affected by health inequalities. Supporting a charity that works to protect lives and improve access to early diagnosis and treatment means a great deal to me. Taking on this trek is my way of turning that passion into real-world impact.
Every donation either big or small brings me one step closer to the summit and helps the Meningitis Research Foundation continue its essential work.
Thank you so much for your support. It truly means the world.
Aimee
