Story
Next summer I will be trekking to the summit of the highest mountain in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro.
I’m doing this in aid of Amnesty International, an organisation that works tirelessly to defend human rights and protect those facing injustice all around the world. Their work gives a voice to people who need it most, and I’m so proud to be supporting them through this challenge. Knowing such an incredible charity is behind me will make me even more determined to conquer the 4,900m climb.
Recent campaigns include refugee and migrant rights, climate change, children’s rights, women’s rights, the Syrian conflict, and LGBTI+ rights. Some of Amnesty’s biggest achievements include outlawing torture, holding war criminals to account, and regulating the global arms trade.
The Kilimanjaro trek is just one part of this challenge — I’ll also be raising funds and spreading awareness in various other ways to help Amnesty continue their vital work. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference, and I’m incredibly grateful for any support, whether that’s a donation or simply sharing my page.
