Story
Next summer I will be joining an amazing team of Imperial College London students through Choose a Challenge to climb the world's highest free standing mountain and Africa’s tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m!). We are taking on this incredible adventure to raise money for Street Child, an amazing charity helping children stay safe, in school, and learning. 💛📚
Over six long days, we’ll trek through five climate zones, from the rainforest to the arctic! 🌳❄️ It will be the hardest challenge I have ever faced, with only around half the oxygen available at sea level, but I'm really excited to push myself and experience something new. 💪 Knowing that this climb will also help children around the world access education makes it even more meaningful. 🫶
At least 50 percent of what I raise will go directly to Street Child, funding their life changing work in over 20 of the world’s lowest income and disaster affected countries. The remaining amount will go towards the cost of the climb itself. 🥾
Street Child supports children in places like Sierra Leone, Nepal, and Ukraine by helping them access education, supporting families, and rebuilding communities. 🏠
Here is what your support could do: 👇
📖 £10 could provide a learning kit with stationery and textbooks for a child fleeing conflict
⚽️ £40 could provide sports kits such as footballs and nets for 100 children in Mozambique
👔 £80 could buy warm clothing and essentials for a family displaced by conflict in Ukraine
💵 £250 could provide a family with a business grant so they can afford to send their children back to school
Every donation, share, or kind word means a lot. Thank you for joining me on this journey! ❤️🌍
