Story
Hi! I’m Beth, a medical student at the University of Bristol, and next summer I’ll be taking on the huge challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Student Challenge. I’ve always been someone who loves adventure, pushing myself, and seeing the world — and this climb is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
I’m raising money for Meningitis Research Foundation because meningitis is one of those illnesses that can change a life in hours. As a medical student, I’ve seen how important early treatment, awareness, and research are, and how much of a difference it can make for patients and families. Supporting a charity that funds research, improves diagnostics, and raises awareness feels like a meaningful way I can contribute even while I’m still training.
This climb is also a personal challenge for me — something to work towards, something that motivates me, and something that reminds me what I’m capable of. Preparing for it will take a lot of discipline, training, and resilience, and knowing I’m doing it for a cause that truly matters keeps me focused.
Any donation, big or small, helps both the charity and me on this journey. Thank you so much for reading and for supporting me — it genuinely means a lot.
