Hello everyone! On the 28th of August 2026 I will be trekking up mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for meningitis research. Meningitis is the inflammation of the meninges (the protective membrane around the brain) usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. If left untreated it can be immediately fatal, or have dire implications on a person’s health for the remainder of their life. Students are the second most likely to catch meningitis, however it is often mistaken for freshers flu or a hangover. Meningitis research UK hopes to use money raised to eradicate fatalities from meningitis by 70% by 2030. Thank you so much for helping!
