We provide emergency medical care worldwide to people affected by conflict & disasters.
Story
Hi, my dear family and friends,
We are watching the tragedy unfold in Ukraine, as I'm sure are you. Here in Switzerland, the hostilities are just two very short borders away, and the arrival of refugees into our areas has already begun. I am doing all I can to help the communities here as they arrive. But equally important is to help the war wounded and ill in Ukraine and immediately surrounding countries.
I know that Doctor without Borders (Médecins sans Frontières) is doing an excellent job on this. They have started an emergency fund to provide life-saving care where the needs are the greatest – including for their operations in and around Ukraine. They are stepping up their response in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to provide desperately needed supplies to treat the war-wounded and provide ongoing care for patients with chronic diseases and other conditions.
Neha and I are doing an 18 km walk this weekend to fundraise for this charity and cause. If you are also interested in supporting Doctors without Borders and their work in Ukraine and surrounding countries, please donate here!
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.
