Women's Aid Leicestershire have a mission to improve the lives of victims affected by all forms of domestic abuse. They aim to do this by raising awareness of domestic and sexual abuse and the ongoing suffering of women and children. They also work to protect women and children and, at the same time, provide the right services and relationships that empower and support women to move on and recover their lives.

This month, we at the University of Leicester Hockey Club are raising awareness and money for Women's Aid Leicestershire. We strongly believe in the mission of this organisation, and value the help they give to the community. The ladies' side of our club will be doing a 24-hour stay awake event, connecting with each other virtually to raise awareness for this cause. The men's side of the club will also be participating by taking part in a fitness challenge.
