The Three Peaks Challenge · 13 May 2009

Vision Action aim to make eye care accessible and affordable overseas. We help the world to see through innovative programmes that reach out to some of the most remote communities throughout Africa. We began in 1989 and will continue until everyone across Africa has access to basic eye care.

Story

On Saturday 13 june, we'll be hitting the Three Peaks!

First off, it's Ben Nevis, followed by Scafell Pike late on Saturday evening and finally Mount Snowdon in the early hours of Sunday morning... We'll be walking over 25 miles and climbing a further 300 vertical metres. If the mere thought is enough to give you blisters, then please dig deep and sponsor us online.

We'll be walking for 12 hours and spending several hours cooped up in a minibus all in aid of Vision Aid Overseas; a charity dedicated to helping people in the developing world whose lives are blighted by poor eyesight. It works by sending abroad teams of volunteer optometrists and dispensing opticians who set up clinics, screen large number of patients and provide appropriate spectacles. You can find out more about their work here: http://www.vao.org.uk/home/

If you'd like to sponsor us in our challlenge you can do this simply and securely by filling in the form below. Plus, if you're a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support,

Tony, Jon, Mike, Paul, Michael, Ali, & Karen
