Story

Postponed - Not cancelled....

Due to Covid-19 the event has been moved to the 5th and 6th Sept 2020.

This will be the 8th year for the event that has grown beyond all our expectations.

100 people - 75 cyclists and 25 support staff.

They will be donning the cycling gear and training for a mammoth 127.5 miles bike ride over 2 days.

Starting in Liverpool they will travel through to Burnley, a whopping 70 miles on the first day.  The Canal Towpath will be the route through some stunning scenary, not that they get to concentrate on it too much.

After some much needed rest at the Hotel they continue the adventure through to Leeds covering another 57 miles to what we hope will be an amazing crowd at Granary Wharfe in Leeds City Center.

Why do it ?

Very good question..

Martin House is an amazing, inspirational and even magical place that offers support to over 600 families within the Yorkshire Region.

This comes at a whopping cost, predicted in 2020 to reach the £10M mark.  Just look at that number - £10 Million.

UMBR2020 has a target of £25k, the equivalent of the running costs for a single day.  It is an achievable number but only through the support of friends and family sponsoring each and every person taking part in UMBR2020.
