Would you like to write an inspiring message for the Clipper Race crew?

As the official Charity Partner of the Clipper 2017-18 Race, the heavyweight (Code 3) spinnaker on Unicef will have space on it for crew and supporters to write positive messages for Clipper Race crew that will be racing on board any yacht in the fleet. Your comment can play an important motivational role as the Clipper Race fleet sail over 40,000 nautical miles during their circumnavigation of the world.

Supporters were able to write a message, in return for a donation, on the Unicef spinnaker, in person, while the Clipper Race fleet were in Liverpool ahead of Race Start - this initiative raised around £1,000 in online and offline donations.

If you were unable to be In Liverpool, you can still be involved! All you need to do is provide a suggested minimum donation of £5 on this JustGiving page along with the message that you would like written on the spinnaker. Each of the yachts have a fundraising target of £30,000 so if you would like your donation to contribute to a particular team's total, please include that in the message (in brackets). Our team will then write your message on the spinnaker for you and a photo of all the messages will be uploaded on the Clipper Race Facebook page. Any messages that are received while the fleet are at sea will be written on the spinnaker at the next stopover.
