Plan International UK is a global children’s charity working to create lasting equality for girls and protect the rights of all children. Plan International works with communities in over 50 countries across the world to tackle the root causes of exclusion and injustice for all children.

Story

Our UNIGLOBE charity work has taken a different route this year: our fundraising target has totally moved the benchmark and our fundraising efforts will push us to the limits. The campaign for 2014 is taking many forms to give everyone the chance to take part.

  • Participants: Patrick Hooft, Mark Hewett, Nigel Mellor, Yves Neirynck, Peter O'Reilly, Tim Giles, Mark Kempster, Lance Goodson and Tom Kempster

Our fundraising effort in 2014 has two parts:

1. London to Paris Cycle ride - will take place over 4 days starting on the 7th June and will finish in Paris on the 10th June. The team will be covering about 80 miles a day; whilst navigating Southern England and Northern France2. A walk from Dover to London – will take place over 4 days leaving Dover on the morning of the 12th June and arriving at London Bridge on the afternoon of the 15th June. The walk is a tough one and will physically test the participants more than they realise. The route will wind its way to London, covering about 25 miles a day

Uniglobe Travel has supported Plan International for many years: with the first two campaigns, Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu, we have raised over £70,000 for this worthwhile charity. Our goal for the 2014 campaign is to reach £100,000 and we are currently at £93,000 (on the 1st of June 2014): just £7,000 from our 2014 fundraising target!

So please support the Uniglobe Travel team during 2014 to raise money for this worthwhile cause.

Keep on giving!!
