On the 26th July 2019, Unite People & Costain are attempting the National 3 Peaks Challenge - hoping to raise as much as possible for our chosen charity Leeds Children’s Charity!

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.

The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.

The three peaks are:

  • Ben Nevis / Beinn Nibheis (1,345 m or 4,413 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland
  • Scafell Pike (978 m or 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England
  • Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (1,085 m or 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales

Leeds Children’s Charity are a fantastic local charity who support children from the most deprived areas of the city by providing them with much-needed respite and fun-filled mini breaks. Most of the children they support are aged 7-11 and the work they do has a very positive impact For more information on the great work they do visit:  http://www.leedschildrenscharity.org.uk/

We kindly ask that you help us in reaching our goal of £5,000. We have met the children and workers personally and know how much the team will appreciate every donation, every penny counts.

Thanks in advance for your donation, big or small.
