How will your donation help?
Our target is to raise £3,000 for MND Association through this campaign. From the £1,500 monies (100 hats in total) donated kindly by you – United Plant will match this value making a grand total of £3,000 in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The charity
MND Association helps fund research, improves care and provides support for people with MND, their families and carers. Motor neurone disease, known as MND, means messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste, which can affect how people walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Not all symptoms will affect
everyone, or in the same order. Symptoms also progress at varying speeds, which makes the course of the disease difficult to predict.

MND is life-shortening and there is no cure. Although the
disease will progress, symptoms can be managed to help achieve the best possible quality of life. MND affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. There is a 1 in 300 risk of getting MND across a lifetime. It can affect any age but is more likely to affect people over 50.

And it gets better…as you will also be supporting the
charity ‘Oddballs’

This charity’s story began in 2014 with the intention of raising awareness for Testicular Cancer. Since then, Oddballs has become a brand that supports a number of causes and breaks down the usual stigma associated with mental and physical health. The aim of Oddballs is to donate over £1,000,000 to charities
by 2024 and with consistent support - they will do it.

A big thank you

So, not only are you supporting MND Association you are also indirectly supporting the Oddball’s charities, as these hats have been sourced and branded inline with their charity commitments. So double whammy. A double pat on the back, when you get your United Plant Oddball hat.
