Royal Parks Half Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·

The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

This October, I'm going to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of my nephew, Evan. I'm proud to run alongside Evan's parents, Jarrod & Laura, and follow all of our family at home who came together to run for Evan in May.

Evan was born on 17 February 2019. I was incredibly lucky to meet him on the day he was born. He was so curious about the world and was constantly surrounded by people who loved him deeply. He loved being wrapped up warm in the arms of family and friends, most of all his Mum and Dad. He loved books, he made little fox noises as he slept, and he was famous for a very serious furrowed brow as he soaked in all the new things in the world.

On 31st March 2019, Evan passed in his sleep. We miss him so much. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome desperately needs more research, and we're fundraising to work towards a day where this can be prevented.

We love you and miss you Evan. I think of you every time I run.
