We're the University of Exeter's Harry Potter and Quidditch Society, representing 6 years worth of alumni and current students, all united by a love for all things Harry Potter. Recently, in response to comments made by JK Rowling, we asked people to support transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse members of the Harry Potter fandom with the hashtag #AllWizardsAreWelcome on social media. Alongside this, this year we have decided to support and raise money for Mermaids, one of the UK's leading charities for gender diverse children and young people. Instead of ticket prices to the majority of our society events, we ask that attendees consider donating to this needed charity.
