Here at Coventry and Warwickshire Mind and together with people who have experienced mental health problems, we provide quality services and support that reduce stigma and promote positive mental health.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On April 28th the University of Warwick Men's Hockey Club (UWMHC) will be running the Shakespeare Half Marathon in aid of our main club charity, Coventry & Warwickshire Mind. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem during their lifetime, a condition which can impact many aspects of day to day life, ranging from work and school life, to socialising with other people. With the excellent work of Coventry & Warwickshire Mind, last year they were able to help 25,805 people. The social stigma still associated with mental health, prevents people from getting help, help which can allow people to recover from the problems they are experiencing or live with them, by managing them correctly. However, to achieve this we need to raise awareness, by improving access for people to get support and Coventry & Warwickshire Mind can do this with just £200 being enough to enable a wellbeing bus to provide information and support for a day.

Any donations to this extremely worthy and important cause would be much appreciated, as we aim to promote positive mental health.
