We provide palliative & end of life care to patients & carers, North & East Cumbria

Story

We are delighted to be co-sponsor of the Hospice At Home Step up to the Plate walk with our friends at Westwood Landscape, Carlisle.

The 'Second Course' from Greenhead to Carlisle on 11 September 2021 follows the Hadrian's Wall route of almost 23 miles of rugged terrain and stunning scenery.

All the walkers are supported along the route by many local producers and artisans who have generously donated refreshments to keep us all energised and spur us on to the next stop!

The initial event in 2019 around Ullswater was highly successful and enjoyable. Between all participants and sponsors just over £29000 was raised for Hospice At Home. With your generosity, help and support we would like to help raise even more in 2021!

Hospice At Home do fantastic work in North Cumbria and provide high quality care and support for adults who have palliative and end of life care needs, whilst also supporting their families and carers. As a charity they rely on the kindness and generosity of our local community. Although they receive some funding from the NHS, they need to raise over 80% of their running costs in order to ensure that this vital help is available when needed and remains free of charge to patients and their families. With your support they will be able to provide 'More Care to More People'

If you are able to sponsor our team it would be greatly appreciated, and if you feel energetic there is still time to register and take part!
