In memory of Carol Gartside
We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

My beautiful, brave and inspirational mum, Carol Gartside, passed away peacefully on 28 January 2018, six months after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

It was my mum who first introduced me to yoga, back in the 70s when she used to go to classes, long before it was popular like it is today.  In her retirement she ran a yoga group for local ladies and was doing this right up until she got poorly.  She encouraged me to do my teacher training and was a great support as I started out as a teacher.

In her memory, I will be hosting various yoga classes and events which I will teach in exchange for donations to the Brain Tumour Charity via this page.  All events will be held at my studio in Stockport town centre.

Please see my website for details www.upwardfrog.yoga

The Brain Tumour Charity provided me and my family with very helpful information at the hospital and in the weeks after Mum's diagnosis.  One of their aims is to diagnose tumours earlier, and more accurately, and to develop safe and effective treatments. It is my hope that by contributing to the funding for this research we can help other families who will also be travelling along this road in the future
