Urquharts are proud to have the Ayrshire Hospice as our Charity Partner for 2022 - a cause close to so many people and one all our team are passionate about. In May we are holding our own fundraiser, a sponsored cycle of 100 miles, from West Kilbride to Stranraer stopping at each of our practices along the way - Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Saltcoats, Kilwinning & Kilmarnock. Some of our team members are taking part, along with family and friends, with a total of 10 cyclists. Our fundraising will go towards the Capital Build project, seeing the Hospice be completely rebuilt to provide even more comprehensive care to people in Ayrshire.

'The Ayrshire Hospice has been the sole provider of specialist palliative care across Ayrshire and Arran for over 30 years. Now we really need your help to ensure that we can keep delivering our services for the next generations. Our Capital Build Project has the aim of raising £13 million to build a new Ayrshire Hospice fit for the future and able to meet the needs of our patients, their carers, their families, in an environment that supports care, dignity and respect for the needs of the individual and also support Ayrshire and Arran residents reaching end of life to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Your donation is so very important to us and really will make a difference to patients and their families throughout Ayrshire living with life limiting illness.  Over two thirds of our funding comes from voluntary donations and it is only through supporters like yourselves that we are able to continue to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families across the whole of Ayrshire.' - The Ayrshire Hospice
