I work at the BBC and I've written a song called "Together We Can" - the theme of this year's BBC Children in Need 2020 fundraising campaign.

This year has been hard for us all with the challenges posed by Covid 19, but for many children and young people already vulnerable or at risk, life over the last few months has become even harder. 

The song highlights the difficulties faced by all children, particularly those who are disadvantaged.

More than ever before, children facing loneliness and isolation, illness, poverty and mental health challenges need us to lift the barriers holding them back from having happy, healthy lives.

As the song lyrics say: "Together we can change lives, make a new world, a kinder place".
