Story

Why raise money?

We don't make any money from User Research North but we do want to use the platform for as much good as possible. If you like what we do and want to say thank you, you can do that by donating to Big Change. You money will help homeless people get the better lives they deserve.

What is Big Change?

Big Change pays for practical items individuals need to build independent lives away from the streets. If everyone who lives, works or visits Manchester donates, together we can make a Big Change!

The Big Change fund supports individuals who are homeless by paying for items they need - a deposit for a home, a training course, clothes for a job interview, furnishing for a new flat, or travel costs.

Big Change is part of Manchester Homelessness Charter, bringing together people experiencing homelessness, charities, grassroots groups, the council, businesses and individuals to End Homelessness in Manchester.

What is User Research North?

We run evening events, based in Manchester, about user research. Our hope is that User Research North will help cultivate a stronger research community, through sharing experiences and ideas, and become a place to meet other like-minded individuals as well as inspire more people to do research.

It's for those interested in human behaviour and designing around user needs and jobs, such as design researchers, user researchers, behavioural analysts and of course designers, product leads, and developers who are interested in what users do and why they do it.
