My name is Uta, I am a chemotherapy nurse working for Velindre Hospital in South Wales.

On October 14th I will be taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon for the second time in an attempt to raise money for Stepping Stone Appeal aimed at developing new advancements in lung cancer research.

Lung Cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in the world and survival rates, at present, are very low, even more so in the South Wales valleys due to the mining culture and heritage.

The Stepping Stone Appeal run by Dr.Jason F. Lester (lung cancer consultant) at Velindre Hospital asks for your generosity by way of donation to help continue this vital research into improving survival from lung cancer.
