Story

On my birthday this year I am going to ride a long around all the places that make up 'Unique Venues of London'.  This group includes the Royal Geographical Society where I worked for three and half years, Hampton Court Palace where I worked during the Olympics, and the Foundling Museum where I work today.

I will start camping on the lawn of the most westerly venue and after an early start I will ride well over 70 miles around London.  I'll have to deal with a lot a traffic, hundreds of traffic lights and interesting navigational challenges.  I'll get a photo and hopefully a little souvenir at each venue.

I'm doing this ride in memory of my amazing mother who died last September after a long fight against cancer.  She was given amazing treatment by the Royal Marsden Hospital with a pioneering new drug which extended her life by many months, letting her continue to enjoy holidays, have another Christmas with us and walk down the aisle at my sister's wedding.  This was possibly the second happiest day of her life.

Please give what you can to support the Royal Marsden's outstanding work against cancer.
