Winter Appeal 2016-17 Challenge · 1 November 2016

Ummah Welfare Trust was founded to challenge the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

JazakAllahu Khairan for visiting our page, Alhamdulillah UWT Volunteers in London have decided to get together and raise 100k to help the Ummah suffering during this winter. Allah swt has blessed us with so much, we can not even imagine their suffering, InshaAllah this will be a means of salvation and reward for us. Jzk for supporting our cause.

Winter Appeal 2016-17

Millions of families across the Ummah will be terrified at the prospect of winter this year. The freezing winds and cold will see living costs spiral and their poverty worsen. High fuel prices, poor nutrition and inadequate shelter will stretch already-poor families to breaking point. For the young, sick and old amongst them, winter can prove devastating. More die in these months than in any other season.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

'Allah is in the help of His servant, so long as the servant is in the help of his brother.'[Sahih Muslim]

Ummah Welfare Trust has launched an emergency winter appeal to deliver winter supplies to needy families in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Albania, Chechnya, Iraq and Palestine.

Donors can keep a family warm in these countries by donating £50 to provide a winter pack. Just £50 can provide clothes, blankets and other essentials, helping a family to stay warm and fend off the cold.

Support the campaign by donating for as many packs as you can, and bring warmth to the Ummah this winter.

The Campaign inside Syria

In Syria, skies which have brought so much
death and destruction will soon bring freezing winds and rain. As
temperatures plummet, millions of desperate Syrians - huddled under
tarpaulins or broken homes - will be ill-equipped to deal with the
freezing conditions.

Ummah Welfare Trust's winter campaign in Syria will provide fuel, food, clothing, and more, to thousands of besieged and displaced families. Supplies will be distributed in Homs, Dera'a, Ghouta, Qalamoun, Deir Ezzor, Idlib and Aleppo inshaAllah.
