The situation in Syria is truly shocking and wanting to do anything we possibly could to help, we decided to try and raise some much needed funds for these people who are needlessly suffering. Over 3 years of unrest have created the worst humanitarian crisis in the modern history of the Middle East region. Over 6 million Syrians are in need of dire humanitarian aid, and together we can provide them with just that. Around 4 million people have been internally displaced and more than 1.7 million refugees have fled the country to neighbouring countries, with many being turned away due to an increase in population and return back to continue in the fight for their survival. Approximately 36% of Syrian refugees are under the age of 12, having to grow up in makeshift accommodation. It's absolutely heartbreaking and so we want to help.

We are two girls who like lie ins that go past 2pm, junk food (note the Cinnabon boxes) and generally being lazy but we are determined to do our bit so the little that we can do is get sponsored to do a 10K run. It might not seem like much (or it might be... I don't know, we're not runners!) but to us... It's plenty. It's definitely going to be a challenge seeing as the minute we hop onto a treadmill we go into Homer Simpson mode (a breathless heap on the floor) so if you're not going to donate to help the people of Syria who desperately need our help, then do it for the pure comedy value of seeing us attempt this run, it will be hilarious, not to mention completely tragic.

I'm not one to beg people for money but I'm going to beg you to dig deep, even if this means just giving £1 or whatever you can afford, every little helps. Our hearts are breaking for the innocent people that are suffering and we are determined to try and raise as much as we can for them. Thank you guys, wish us luck and give us your money!
