Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In January 2018 our dear family friend Hannah was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Sarcoma. Sarcoma is cancer of the bone or soft tissue that can affect any part of the body. In Hannah’s case, it was her lungs that were affected. There is so little awareness of this cancer, that tragically, late diagnosis is common.
In a brave attempt to prolong her life, Hannah underwent chemotherapy and surgery. After nine months fighting courageously, Hannah sadly lost her battle on 17th September 2018, aged 29. During this difficult time, Hannah inspired a huge amount of people - demonstrating great courage and bravery. Her tough and determined outlook on her life with cancer didn't prevent her achieving many things, including raising money for Sarcoma UK.
Sarcoma Uk is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. So in order to raise as much as we can for this fantastic charity, on Friday 30th July 2021 we are hosting a Pink Prosecco Picnic in Hannah’s memory to raise money for Sarcoma Uk.
We can’t change the fact that we have to face the future without Hannah. However, together we can change the future for others, by continuing the amazing fundraising that Hannah herself was so passionate about and supporting the charity that meant so much to her.
