Story

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation is a small charity which, during the Coronavirus pandemic, has been working hard to raise the plight of the millions of asthmatics who have been removed from the government's priority groups for the vaccination rollout. People with asthma, which is a chronic lung condition, are a clinically vulnerable group (acknowledged by the NHS since the start of the pandemic). All asthmatics have been shown by research to be at increased risk of hospitalisation, of needing critical care and of intubation. Asthma is also the only underlying health condition with a proven link to long Covid. Yet, only the most severe asthmatics have remained in a priority group. AAF are working hard to get this decision corrected for everyone with asthma. This is important not only for the initial vaccine rollout, but also for any future programme of booster vaccines for the most vulnerable. Please help raise funds for AAF, and help us to continue this important campaign. The 'snack and chat' will be on 27th March at 11am, but please feel free to donate both before and after this date.
