Members of my family and I are running the Leicester Half Marathon on 14 October 2012 in loving memory of our aunty, Pratima.

Our beautiful aunty was first diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer 11 years ago. She managed to get through it with her strength and determination.

Earlier this year, her health started to deteriorate and we were told that her Cancer had come back. She still remained strong and in good spirits, but sadly on 1 July 2012, she lost the fight. She was only 63 years old.

In her memory, we are raising money for 2 great charities: Cancer Research UK and The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust at Charing Cross Hospital. It is because of their research and care that we were blessed with 11 more years and believe that these charities will find more ways to treat those suffering with this awful disease.
