The Compassionate Friends offers support and friendship to parents and families after the death of a son or daughter, at any age and from any cause. It also offers support, advice and information to other relatives, friends and professional carers who are helping the family.

Story

Hello everyone,

As Mancunians and many others around the country were moved by the out pouring of support for all of those affected by the bombing at the Manchester Arena. After taking a long and hard look at the aftermath, we would like do something to help. So we would like you to support us in our quest to help the families and The Compassionate Friends, a charity supported by a dedicated band of volunteers,  working tirelessly on limited resources to provide a warm hearted, selfless service to those who have lost a child no matter the circumstances, so that they can continue to offer their friendship, support and love. This wonderful charity has warmly welcomed our up and coming effort to tackle the great hills of the north on their behalf as part of our quest to complete the Great North Run 2017. We admit neither of us are Olympic or World Championship runners, but we plan to bring a lot of Northern Grit and work as hard as the Manchester Bee to get through it.

So we invite you to show your support for the families and The Compassionate Friends.

Thank you for taking the time to view our page and donating.
