Story

About the charity:

Restless Development is a global charity that works in 74 countries. Their mission is to support, train, mentor, nurture, and connect thousands of young people to lead change.

In June 2022, I will be climbing the Morocco High Atlas Mountains (4167m) to raise funds to support these young leaders in Africa and Asia to take on the greatest challenges they face.

I have always loved to travel, spending my gap year in Australia and Thailand. This is a different kind of challenge. There will be approx. 30 hours of walking over 6 days for a 50km trek - over rocky terrain and varying hot and cold temperatures, sleeping in tents.

This will be a real physical challenge, so in preparation, I plan on running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April. If I can reach my fundraising target by the 3rd of April 2022, I will run this half marathon in a funny costume (Spiderman? Else from Frozen? Gandalf? Details to be considered, so I you have a funny suggestions, let me know)

Thank You so much for taking the time to read this page and donating what you can - the money will help fund the amazing work done by the Restless Development charity as well as supporting these challenging treks for young people! It's a win-win, a non-zero-sum game!

I ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon in a rocket costume on the 3rd April 2022 and raised about £200.

Thank You!
