I am the Apprentice and Volunteer Coordinator at the Forward Trust. The team I work for helps by supporting people with their ongoing recovery needs, both in the community and prison as well as provide opportunities to gain work experience and employment.

My team is not funded for by our contracts and therefore support from fundraisers is essential to us. Having had the chance to be involved in our volunteers and apprentices journey I decided to challenge myself by doing this bike ride to help raise funds to help even more people.

I also want to use this challenge to thank all our wonderful apprentices and volunteers journey, many of whom are themselves in recovery, for dedicating their time to help others.  Their contribution to the work we do is invaluable.
