In September 2023, I am planning to undertake a challenge of a lifetime - a 5-day trek along Peru's Inca Trail, from Tambo Machay in Cuzco all the way to Machu Picchu to raise funds for Dementia Jersey.  This route will take us through Inca-paved paths and steps, a lush cloud forest and the demanding Dead Woman's Pass at 4200m. I have  chosen to raise funds for Dementia Jersey in memory of my late father who passed away, 25 years ago, from Vascular dementia. 

Dementia Jersey is a local charity that offers support to those affected by dementia through one-to-one support and therapeutic activities. They are also committed to raising awareness and improving understanding of dementia throughout Jersey. So many people and their families are affected by dementia every day and I strongly believe it is a cause worth supporting!

I am self-funding my trip and therefore all money raised will go directly to the charity so they can continue to provide much needed support to people in Jersey affected by dementia.
