The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, situated in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, exists to help our patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. Where it may not be possible to add days to lives, we aim to add life to days for patients and their families.

Story

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.I am attempting to raise as much money as i can for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. This is an amazing place run by many amazing people, and a really worthwhile charity.I had a lovely afternoon there recently and left feeling very humble indeed. As many of you may know I have been busy practicing for this years (A little less Strictly) Come Dancing, to be held at The Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, on the 16th of March .My partner is Mike Sharples of Brookfield Multiplex whose company are currently building the new "super hospital" over at the Southern General in Glasgow. We have been practicing since December, and although Mike had never danced a step in his life, watch him strut his stuff on the 16th.Having been away from dancing for the best part of 25 years, I got the bug after last years event at the Hilton. Shortly afterwards Heather from the hospice asked me if I would be interested in dancing at a charity event in Coatbridge with my partner from 25 years ago Bobby Cranston. Well we did, and that led to me being asked to dance at the Hilton. To generate funds I recently had a "race night" at the St.Peters Club in Paisley. This was a huge success and everyone had a great night. We managed to raise £1000, which was a magnificent effort so a big thank you for everyone who managed to come along and take part .
