Story

Moin Valli of Valli Opticians and Andrew McGee of Tfive Retail Design are taking part in the ForgetMeNot500 Rally this month where they will be racing a classic 1966 MGB GT car from Huddersfield to LeMans and back via Paris during the weekend of the famous Le Mans 24 hour race. The aim is to raise £5000.

Moin says: "When we heard about the Forget Me Not 500 we were really excited to get involved. In the run up to the event we've been busy raising awareness and funds, including a successful charity event which we hosted at the Lewis James car showroom in Huddersfield (see some of the photos on this page).

"I'm looking forward to crossing the Channel and putting some va va voom into our fundraising drive!"

The route for the rally includes teams driving to Brussels where they will enjoy lunch before heading to Paris for the evening. The next day the teams will make the journey from Paris to Le Mans.

Forget Me Not Children's Hospice provides care for over 100 families through its state of the art hospice Russell House and the Hospice at Home service.

The charity must raise £2.8million each year to provide their services and with less than 5% of this coming from government funding, the support of the local community is vital.

Individual donations for Moin and Andrew's fundraising drive are welcome through this JustGiving page.

Many Thanks
