We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

This summer “Team Tarmacing me crazy” are taking on the Motoscape Rally 2012. Our team including me, Marcus Dorey and Roy Dorey will be driving a banger across 7 countries in 5 days to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. This will take us on an approximately 2000 mile round journey through Europe.

We are no strangers to taking on a challenge but this will by far push us to the limit. We have set ourselves an ambitious target to raise £5000 to go directly to the charity. We hope that the money we raise through our sponsors goes a long way in helping the research and development of new drugs or simply helping someone in need.

Our motivation is simple; we have all had someone close to us that has been affected by this horrible disease. So we hope that you will help and support us in our journey by way of a donation to this site or simply by following us on our blog which is proving to be a good read already since our first car was unfixable and the second one caught fire and had to be scrapped. It seems however, Tarmac are back in the race as we may have secured a T reg Land Rover from Swinden Quarry with 140k on the clock and so I have given you a taster for what that looks like!

We all appreciate money is tight at the moment, but all donations would be greatly received and spur us on to reach our goal.

Also if you know of any companies that may be interested in buying advertising space on the car in return for a donation get in touch!

Regards and thanks for all your support.
