Family Skydive · 19 April 2020

Our aim is to raise money to support the charity WIRES, The Australian Wildlife Rescue Organisation, as they carry out vital work supporting wildlife injured in the Australian bushfires.

Story

On Sunday 19th April 2020, 3 generations of the Van de Gevel family will be jumping out of a plane for a Tandem Skydive.

This
started off with Andy Van de Gevel (little bro) who, as the current
Chairman of Elland Round Table was tasked with raising funds for charity
 over a 4 event challenge.

What better than a Tandem Skydive
and the rest of us jumping on the bandwagon and raising funds for
charities close to our hearts at the same time!

The bushfires currently affecting Australia have taken a devastating toll, not only on the lives and homes of local people but also the country's wildlife. Indeed, the most recent estimates suggest over 1 billion animals have lost their lives, which is a truly shocking statistic. With this in mind, I'll be raising much-needed funds for WIRES, a wildlife charity based in New South Wales, whose aim is to rescue and find shelter for injured and orphaned animals.
