Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Two weeks ago, out of the blue, I suffered a slipped disc in my lower back, which cause Cauda Equina Syndrome that affected my lower half really badly. I had emergency surgery to fix the problem, and as part of my rehab, I would like to raise money for Forest Holme hospice, a charity very dear to my heart. Not only do I have the privilege of working for them, but I also see first hand the amazing work that is done there. With the current Coronavirus outbreak, most of the fundraising has stopped. So I thought, why not combine my rehab with raising money for the hospice?
As I live in a tall house, I’ve decided to walk up and down my stairs (64 stairs in one round trip) on my crutches, until I’ve done the equivalent of Everest!! I even roped in the other half to make a snazzy chart incase I lose track of the 17475 steps needed!!
Any support would be amazing. The team at the hospice do such an amazing job with supporting palliative and end of life care, and need some extra support at the moment.
