Update !! We have smashed 100 miles now !!
DONE IT !! In 8 days !! So upping my miles to 50 watch this space ! Thank you all for your support xAnyone that knows me will realise that this is very out of character! As many of you know I am an Ambassador for Havens Hospices and am usually very active working with the fundraising teams for New Fairhavens, Little Havens and The J’s . In these uncertain times, when many if not all events have been cancelled this is my way of trying to raise some funds and help to “Make every day count “ for those Adults and children with life limiting and terminal illness. Please dig deep I know we are all feeling the pinch but any amount will really make a difference. I will be cycling and walking between 1st and 30th June. Thank you all xxxxBetween Monday 11th May and 31st August 2020 we are asking you to get involved in our first ever Virtual Event, the 30 in 30 Challenge. In 30 days can you walk, run, cycle or even skip 30 miles for Havens Hospices? You may ask, why 30 miles? That's how far on average one of our Hospice at Home Nursing Assistants will travel in a day to deliver care to our patients in the community. The need for our hospice services never stops, so neither can our fundraising.Even during the Coronavirus outbreak, our patients need and deserve quality care at the end of their life. Taking part in our 30 in 30 challenge will help this to continue. When an adult or child has been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, Havens Hospices can provide the care they need, Making every day count. Our specialist Care Teams can support them and their family living throughout illness, death and bereavement, in the comfort of their own home and through our hospice services: Fair Havens, The Js an
