We are a team of 6 friends who have come together to walk the Wye valley marathon - a mere 26 miles ! - on September 9th, in memory of the wonderful Nick Atkinson, who lost his fight with cancer in January last year.

I have also lost my wonderful father in law to cancer this year, and a dear family friend.  Cancer is indiscriminate, and impacts so many of our lives.

We are walking in aid of Macmillan, and all the invaluable work that they do, bringing care, warmth, dignity and gentle humour to families and individuals at the toughest of times.

We hope to raise a minimum of £2000 between us.  Every little bit helps!

We are training hard, and hoping to manage the approx 10 hour walk in style… or at least drag ourselves over the finish line!
