Team: Remembering Oliver Young
Last December Oliver Young, the brother of Luke's best friend Alfie, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. We were told Ollie wouldn't make Christmas but Ollie was a fighter and stayed with us until 26th February, the day before his 6th birthday.
We all really miss Ollie. We miss his cheekiness, his big brown eyes and his beautiful smile. He loved water, Disney movies, playing football, Spurs, One Direction, speeding on his scooter, eating (mostly crisps, sweets and roast dinners!), playing Angry Birds and messing around with his best buddies Charlie and Sam. He gave great cuddles and it was impossible to stay cross with him for long when he was a pickle!
Luke, Alfie and their friends really wanted to do something in memory of Ollie and raise money for Helen & Douglas House, the amazing hospice and fantastic team of people that took care of Ollie in the final weeks of his life and continue to care for Ollie's family through an incredibly difficult time. So Luke and I are running (yes running!!!) the 1.8 miles of the Green Park Challenge.
Helen House really is a very special place. The hospice is warm, loving, vibrant, bright and positive with an emphasis on living life to the full, however short that life may be. So please please please sponsor us and help us to give something back to this wonderful charity.
