Last year I managed to raise £710 by cycling round all 7 churches in our benefice to raise much needed funds for maintenance and restoration - half the money raised goes to the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust and half comes to our own medieval church, St Mary's Lidgate. This year I am being less ambitious due to a lack of cycle training; so I am planning on walking to 5 churches instead but I am still hoping to raise lots of money!

I do hope that you will sponsor me again this year as our need for support to maintain these historic churches is greater than ever. Covid 19 means that this is the first fundraising event we are able to undertake for the church in 2020.  Thanks to Historic England we received a grant to cover recent urgent work to a leaking lead roof, but further repairs are needed to the main roof as well as the other  annual maintenance tasks.
