Story

We are excited to be taking part in the Dame Vera Lynn Charity walk on 16th September from Arundel to Brighton for the second year running.

With the choice of either 12km or 35km, and heading off from the beautiful Arundel Castle at 7.30am, the stroll takes you across the scenic South Downs, eventually finishing at the stunning location of Devil’s Dyke – an estimated 8-9 hour journey!

Tim Dobson, Sales & Commercial Director commented “It’s a great inspiration for us to bring a much bigger team from VEGA this year – a great CSR initiative, not to mention fantastic team-building in a stunning location, whilst supporting a fabulous charity.”

Initially founded in 2001, the charity has supported over 600 families, working with young children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning difficulties. DVLCC give very special children a place to learn and thrive with an inclusive approach focusing on personality and lifestyle development.

#TeamVEGA had such a great time getting involved last year alongside 70 other walkers including a child with cerebral palsy and a gentleman in his 80s. Raising over £1,000 between them and with Dame Vera Lynn celebrating her 100th birthday this month, they want to exceed that figure
