Vegans Against Police Brutality · 31 May 2020

The Bail Project is a national nonprofit on a mission to combat mass incarceration. Through these efforts, we seek to reshape pretrial justice for generations of Americans to come, bringing us closer to ending mass incarceration and racial and economic disparities in the US criminal legal system.

Story

We are vegans who are passionate about ending police brutality and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

We are asking those who are able to show your support and help end the system of mass incarceration that allows police to brutalize, murder and imprison Black people and people of color in the US and around the world.

"The Bail Project™ National Revolving Bail Fund is on a mission to combat mass incarceration and reshape the pretrial system in the United States. 100% of online donations are used to bring people home. Since bail money comes back to us when cases close, we're able to recycle every dollar donated at least twice per year."

While many people are suffering now as COVID-19 travels the globe, people of color in the US, UK and many other countries are 4 x more likely to die from the illness, while still facing racist systems of incarceration and imprisonment. If you have the privilege of still having a job right now or of having any extra funds, please consider helping out and supporting this important cause.

We have heard that some people outside of the US have had trouble donating in $ USD and recommend instead changing the donation to being in your local currency.
